In collaboration with UK-based scarf company: Fox & Chave, the Museum of International Folk Art, and the Museum of Indian Arts + Culture, proudly announce the launch of a stunning group of scarves inspired by textiles in their collections.

The textiles that inspired this group of scarves represent the cultural and craft traditions of women artists from Latin America and Asia to Europe and the Southwest of the United States.

Butterflies on the move

Stunning and vivid design on a large chiffon scarf inspired by an appliquéd mola (blouse panel), from Panama ca.1960 from the collections of the Museum of International Folk Art.

Forest brights

Lush and colorful design on a medium habotai scarf inspired by an embroidered huipil (blouse), from Guatemala ca.1960 from the collections of the Museum of International Folk Art.

Suzani Blossoms

Elegant and airy design on a large chiffon scarf inspired by a two different Suzani embroideries, from Uzbekistan, ca. 1900 from the collections of the Museum of International Folk Art.

Navajo Dazzler

Stunning and bright design on a medium sized habotai scarf inspired by a Navajo rug, woven by an artist not yet know, ca. 1880, from the collections of the Museum of Indian Arts + Culture.
